Orangeburg Family Medical
Work Description: This project consisted of the ground-up construction of a new approximately 5,000-square-foot medical office building with an integrated full-service pharmacy, including a drive-through prescription pick-up window. The project was completed over a seven-month construction schedule.
The building was constructed on a reinforced concrete slab foundation with wood stud framing and painted gypsum board walls throughout the interior. Interior finishes included hollow metal door frames with wood doors, luxury vinyl tile (LVT) flooring throughout the facility, and owner-selected laminated Formica cabinetry installed in the exam rooms, nurses’ station, laboratory, and workup room.
The exterior was finished with a combination of brick masonry and board-and-batten Hardie® siding, supported by engineered wood roof trusses and an asphalt shingle roofing system. The completed facility includes six fully equipped exam rooms with sinks, four physician offices, four restrooms, a breakroom with sink, a central nurses’ station, one laboratory, one workup room, a patient waiting area, reception area, and a full-service pharmacy with a drive-through dispensing window. The project was successfully delivered to provide a modern, functional healthcare facility designed to meet the operational needs of both the medical practice and pharmacy.
