Work Description: This project was a full renovation of 49,000 SQFT 3 story Barracks Building 1880. The facility renovation was a design-build project that included upgrading the building enclosure and building systems such as mechanical, electrical, fire protection and structural as required to meet current codes and regulations. Areas on all floors were reconfigured to accommodate different functions. All interior finishes were replaced. The existing roof is was structurally reinforced and replaced. Tyler Construction Group self performed 20% of the work for this project. We provided project management, site supervision, QC managers, SSHO, materials and equipment, scheduling, carpentry, layouts and cleanup . Tyler Construction Group employed the Designer Of Record and facilitated the entire design of building 1880. Pre-Construction Activities Included: A. Preconstruction Plans (APP, DQC, EPP, QC) B. Design C. Schedule D. Cost Loading E. Pre-abatement Demolition F. Furniture Removal G. Lead and Asbestos Abatement H. Selective Demolition (Included Demolition of Entire 1st Floor Slab) All performance complied with the contract requirements. Tyler worked with the project owners to accommodate change orders, achieve the quality of workmanship expected and overall provided construction excellence.
