Work Description: Tyler Construction provided all labor, materials, transportation, equipment and supervision to build and renovate at Dent Middle School Additions and Renovations. Construct 144,000 SF two story brick structure containing classrooms, media center, science labs, cafeteria and administrative offices. Work included demolition, grading, water and sewer, metal stack, metal trusses, built-up roofing, metal roofing, metal door frames, wood doors, casework, storefront doors, new wood gym floor, acoustical ceiling, paint, carpet, ceramic tile, terrazzo flooring, fire protection, library casework, canopy and elevator. The electrical, plumbing and HVAC were performed by other contractors. Part of the project involved a new Media Center with a 2 story center circular atrium. The media center contained two offices for media personnel, a circulation desk, two flat screen televisions, prefinished stained wood doors, carpet, fire alarm, sprinkler system and 18 book shelves. The second story atrium has high windows to bring in natural light. This was not a LEED project. We did separate all masonry debris and hauled to a recycle center. We also removed and sent all metal to a recycle center when we demolished existing building
